Wire’s debut album ‘Pink Flag’ needs no introduction: a powerful art-punk statement full of minimalist menace and motorik guitars, it made cult legends of the Londoners. 37 years and 13 albums later, the group have lost none of their appetite for boundary-pushing. Released next Monday (April 13) via their own Pinkflag imprint, Colin Newman and co’s self-titled latest release, from the industrial haze of ‘In Manchester’ to uptempo recent single ‘Joust and Jostle’, shows there’s no slowing them yet. Check out the album below, and let us know your verdict in the comments section.
