Hooray Regina Spektor’s back! Though ‘All the Rowboats’ opens and closes with an electronic segment, fans fear not - the track is Spektor-by-numbers.

Still singing with her trademark Bronx drawl, 'All The Rowboats’ is vintage Regina, all crescendoing piano figures. Those with keen ears will note that Spektor has been performing the track live since at least 2005. In early live recordings, Spektor even tries to emulate a drum machine sound with her microphone. Luckily producer Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Dr Dre) managed to splash out on an actual machine for the recording.
