Rock Myths - Have We Forgotten Any?

By Luke Lewis

We had a lot of fun putting together our feature on rock myths - but even as I was checking over it, I realised we'd missed out a few.

Mama Cass
'Mama' Cass Elliot: didn't really choke on a ham sandwich

Like the idea that Peter, Paul and Mary's 'Puff The Magic Dragon' is 'really' about smoking marijuana (its author Lenny Lipton never touched the stuff).

Or the widely-circulated (but sadly groundless) notion that it's 'really' Phil Collins underneath the gorilla suit in that Cadbury TV advert.

Check out our 29 top rock myths. Can you think of any more tall tales from music history?
