It’s Thursday again, and that means ten free MP3 downloads are waiting for you. A little rock, a bit of dance, even some dubstep….we’ve got it all.
1. The Dead Weather – ‘Die By The Drop’
Arguably one of the biggest supergroups of today, The Dead Weather’s second album, ‘Sea Of Cowards’, has just been released – and here’s the newest gritty single from it. It’s already placed on the NME Chart, and now you can have it for your very own. Be sure to watch the hauntingly dark video for it, too.
2. Scissor Sisters – ‘Invisible Light (House of Stank Remix)’
One of our favourite disco-dance-glam-o-rific American bands are back! With no new releases since 2006, the upcoming album ‘Night Work’ (due out in June) has us squealing with pent-up excitement. Here’s a shiny new remix of the track ‘Invisible Light’.

3. Muse – ‘Knights of Cydonia (Nostalgia Dubstep Remix)’
It’s Muse. And it’s dirty. Real dirty. You asked for more dubstep over at NME, so we’re bringing it to you.

4. Gobble Gobble – ‘Seizure To The Metronome’
First off, visit the band’s MySpace page if you want to see psychedelically-swirling Furbies, marching snowmen and a pinwheel of hands. Oh yea, and this song is pretty wicked, too.
5. Plugs – ‘All Them Witches’
If you like Does It Offend You, Yeah?, then give this track (by Morgan Quaintance’s new project, Plugs) a listen. In what sounds a bit like a mix between Bloc Party and Hot Chip, here’s a song off the band’s debut EP, due out in June.
6. Thieves Like Us – ‘Forget Me Not’
Straight from Paris, this electro-pop trio seems to be popping out a bunch of new tunes lately. This one, off of their new album ‘Again And Again,’ has got a groovy, retro thing going on, and it sounds a bit more put-together and polished than their last album.
7. The Pack a.d. – ‘Crazy’
The beginning sounds a whole lot like The White Stripes, but then the vocals kick in and push it onto a whole different track. This female rock duo are playing at The Great Escape this weekend, followed by a small slew of London/Liverpool dates. Their third album, ‘We Kill Computers,’ has just been released, so go grab it if you like what you hear.
8. Phantogram – ‘Mouthful of Diamonds (Alan Wilkis Remix)’
Back in March, we brought you a free download of Phantogram’s gorgeous track, ‘Mouthful of Diamonds’…and now we’re happy to offer you a brilliant remix. You can also check out the video for the original version below.
9. Admiral Radley – ‘I Heart California’
So here we’ve got Jason Lytle and Aaron Burtch from Grandaddy and Aaron Espinoza and Ariana Murray from Earlimart…and together they have created this peaceful little piss-take of the Golden State. Off the album with the same name (out in July), this is one more tune to add to the summertime playlist.
10. Redtrack – ‘Perfectly Fine Intellectual’
Sounthend Londoners Redtrack have been flying under the radar for quite some time. But now they’ve signed to Fadango and will be the first band to release an album under the label – the first of which is this poppy punk-rock number.
