The Evening Show - Top Ten Tracks

By NME Blog

Hello - I'm Chris Martin, presenter of the Evening Show on NME Radio. Going out live from 7pm Monday to Friday and Sundays at 4pm, it's home to some of the best upcoming bands on the airwaves alongside exclusive interviews with the hottest new artists around, including recently La Roux, Micachu and The Chapman Family. By way of introduction I thought I'd invite you inside my head and go through the Top 10 new tracks I'm playing on the show at the moment...

Jarvis Cocker 's back with a new album, 'Further Complications', recorded with none other than Steve Albini (who recorded Nirvana, Pixies and lately Manic Street Preachers). Lead single 'Angela' is stripped down, low slung and propelled by thundering drums, all of which makes it my Record Of The Week.

The rest of the Top Ten looks like this:

2. We Have Band – You Came Out
3. The Big Pink – Stop The World
4. Future Of The Left – Arming Eritrea

5. We Are Wolves – Fight And Kiss
6. Bombay Bicycle Club – Dust On The Ground
7. Metric - Satellite Mind
8. Miike Snow – Cult Logic
9. Florence & The Machine – Rabbit Heart
10. Crystal Fighters - Xtatic Truth

Something else I like on the show , beyond turning the speakers up far too loud and demolishing entire packs of biscuits with no help, is your opinion. So hit me up with your track suggestions below and I'll do my best to squeeze them in on the show, which goes out - in case you forgot - Monday to Friday from 7pm and Sunday from 4.
