Bloody side jobs. They don't half distract you from the day job. Thanks to The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather it's taken eight years for The Greenhornes to finish up their follow up to 2002's 'Dual Mono'. Thankfully, '****' is worth the wait. Featuring this glam-grunge nugget (a slice of real retro that Beady Eye might want to listen to for inspiration) and liner notes from Jim Jarmusch - plus lots more maximum R&B - it's out Monday (November 15th). UK dates kick off Tuesday (16th) with a Rough Trade appearance in London - details of all their shows on the MySpace.
The Greenhornes - 'Song 13'
Next, Primary 1, who returns with single number three 'Never Know'. The track itself enlists Sam from Late Of The Pier (who's calling himself Harry Tuttle [from Brazil] for some reason) and a bassline off 'Just Good Friends' for a nice little pop number. This remix from Frenchmen The Shoes is all about the breakdown.
