The Heartbreaks, ‘Funtimes’ – Listen

The Heartbreaks are releasing their debut album ‘Funtimes’ on May 7th via Nusic Sounds – but you can stream it in full, exclusively on NME.COM, after the jump.

Back in 2010, we introduced The Heartbreaks (after we found them via NME Breathrough) as a four-piece who had “through romanticism, boredom and fun, gone about making elegantly British seven-inch pop a machete-cut ahead of the pack”, and even compared them to The Smiths.

And now, after nearly two years of waiting, ‘Funtimes’ is finally here. The album was produced by Tristan Ivemy (Babyshambles, Frank Turner, The Holloways) and Joe Cross (Hurts, Sound of Arrows), while Edwyn Collins and Sebastian Lewsley assisted with the track ‘Remorseful’.

Check out a mini video introduction the guys made for ‘Funtimes’ below:

The Heartbreaks are hosting a special club night on Thursday May 3rd at London’s Electricity Showroom.
