We caught up with The Killers before their big headline slot at this year's Hard Rock Calling festival - which also happened to be their first UK festival appearance in nearly two years.

They played a couple of warm up shows at London's intimate Scala venue ahead of time, but performing in front of a packed Hyde Park was a bit more nerve-racking for the Las Vegas band.

We also met up with the band’s drummer Ronnie Vannucci, Jr. who updated us on The Killers' new material: "I think five songs are shaped up, and there’s about 20 other good ideas. But we’ve got another couple months of writing and figuring it out. We want the next record to be badass.”

He also spoke a bit about his side project, Big Talk, describing it as a "rock'n'roll” album with “a lot of guitars, choruses."
