The NME Chart has been assaulted by new entries this week. Gorillaz jump to the highest new position by heading straight for the bronze while Chew Lips aren't far behind with 'Karen' proving that 'Solo' was merely a sign of more greatness to come. Further down the ranks and please welcome Beach House, Rough Trade's Strange Boys and Charlotte Gainsbourg, whose 'Heaven Can Wait' comes fresh from her new album with Beck. Watch an interview with the pair here:

Miike Snow have climbed three spots to number 7 and The xx are enjoying their post NME cover success by leaping 13 places into number 13. To hear next week's chart, tune in to NME Radio at its new time of 11am next Monday and be sure to watch NME TV's countdown of the top ten this Tuesday and Wednesday at 9am and 6pm.
