If you're into the harmonies of Beach House or the meandering melodies of Grandaddy you might quite like this first track - The Phoenix Foundation's 'Pot' squishes the two into three of the nicest minutes we've heard in a while. The band hail from Wellington over on the bottom of the world and they just won Best Band at the New Zealand Music Awards, so expect to hear a lot more from them in 2011.

'Pot' is taken from their forthcoming album 'Buffalo', which is released in the new year through Memphis Industries. UK tour dates are being pencilled as we speak so keep an eye on their Tumblr for more info.
