Fresh - or rather, incredibly hungover - from winning the Mercury Music
Prize, The xx are our cover stars this week. NME met them in the immediate
aftermath of the event to find the band bewildered by overnight fame, loaded
with cash, and yet unsure about their future.

We've also got an absolute must-read Nicky Wire interview in which he gives
his '10-point manifesto to save rock n roll'. "When you start describing
yourselves as 'artists' instead of a band, you're in trouble," he says.

Then we head up to Manchester to meet the new wave of bands breaking with
the city's Madchester past to create some new, exciting, very different
music a world away from the usual 'Mad fer it' cliches.

On top of that we've got Biffy Clyro reviewing Muse's Wembley shows, Matt
Helders on getting back in the studio with Arctic Monkeys, reviews of Zola
Jesus and Janelle Monae live, plus the results of our 2010 Festival Poll.

It's your weekly injection of the best in music, so expose a buttock and get
involved.
