Another blizzard of great new tunes today. First up, These New Puritans, who just earnt themselves a rare 9/10 review in this week’s mag for their forthcoming album ‘Hidden’ (on the always reliable Angular Records). ‘We Want War’ was released this week and comes backed with various b-sides as well as two great remixes, from SBTRKT (which we posted on the Radar blog) and this pitch-bender from Ghosthunter.

Another bit of good news today (for post-rock fans at least): Japan’s Mono have just announced a March tour, beginning in Glasgow on the 17th. To mark the occasion they sent us ‘Burial At Sea’ from last year’s Steve Albini-produced ‘Hymn To The Immortal Wind’. If you don’t already own this, download it in all its ten minute austere beauty now.
Next, an introduction. Alan Pownall is a London troubadour and part of the Mumford set, whose whimsical tracks attract remixes like moths to a flame from Jakwob to Monarchy.
