U2's 'From The Sky Down' - Film Trailer

By Rebecca Schiller

Posted on 27 Sep 11

The new BBC film 'From The Sky Down' sees U2 returning to Berlin's Hansa Studios to discuss the making of the band's 1991 album 'Achtung Baby'.

Directed by Davis Guggenheim (who worked with The Edge on the 2008 documentary 'It Might Get Loud'), this release will mark the 20th anniversary of the record.

"In the terrain of rock bands, implosion or explosion is seemingly inevitable," Guggenheim said. "U2 has defied the gravitational pull towards destruction, this band has endured and thrived. The movie 'From The Sky Down' asks the question why."

The film originally premiered at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival, and it will be released on Showtime next month.
