You might recall a few NME writers blogging about a band called Prego last year. Mark Beaumont called them the best new band in Britain, and Luke Lewis said they were “moody post-rock for Death Cab fans”.
Well, they’ve now altered their line-up and have changed their name to Union Sound Set. After raising money through investors, the band are releasing their debut album (‘Start / Stop’) themselves, via Mighty Atom Records, on October 24th. Three of the band’s songs have already appeared in the Channel 5 series Push.
‘The Longest Calm’ was the last single from Prego (and was released by Beaumont’s record label) – but you can download it for free now.
