Snoop Dogg and his Peanuts-inspired moniker aside, the worlds of rap and cartoons rarely collide. Might have something to do with all that bad language - for some reason, broadcasters seem to think Saturday morning kids TV is better off without talk of gin, juice, hoes and bankrolls. Bucking that trend this week is PBS Digital Studios, who have animated a classic 1994 interview with Tupac Shakur as part of their Blank On Blank series. Not only is it sublimely animated, but the interview unearthed is among the late rapper's most revealing: “If I was white I would have been like John Wayne," he says. "I feel like a tragic hero in a Shakespeare play.”

Pac's not the only musician to be given the Blank on Blank treatment. Watch cartoonified clips of classic Kurt Cobain and Beastie Boys interviews below, or head over to their YouTube page to check out the series in full.
