1. We Are Scientists – ‘Rules Don’t Stop’
You’ve probably already seen the super-fun music video for this song (and if not, watch it below – you’ve been missing out). And now you can download the track for free, at least to tide you over until the band’s next album, ‘Barbara’, comes out in June.

2. Dum Dum Girls – ‘Bhang Bhang, I'm a Burnout’
They’ve got this cool ‘60s girl group sound going, even down to the grainy recording quality. Head over to The Quietus for a free download of this track, as well as 'Pay For Me,’ from the band’s special Record Store Day 7".

3. Fever Ray – ‘When I Grow Up (Bassnectar Remix)’
Fever Ray are a little bit outlandish. You might have seen their bizarre acceptance “speech” (posted below), which is enough proof right there. But ‘When I Grow Up’ is an ace track, and this remix from Californian Bassnectar does it justice.

4. Nas and Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley – ‘As We Enter (Tinie Tempah Remix)’
You’ll have this song on repeat at least a few times, guaranteed. Nas and Marley recently teamed up to cut the album ‘Distant Relatives’ (which is released this week) – and NME Chart topper Tinie Tempah has done wonders with this single, placing a reggae sound atop a big band hook.

5. Alicia Keys – ‘Empire State Of Mind (Part II) Broken Down (Live On Jools Holland)’
Jay-Z and Alicia Keys produced the now classic ‘Empire State Of Mind’ last year, and Keys has since recorded a sequel, which appeared on her fourth album, ‘The Element of Freedom.” Here’s her gorgeous live performance of it on Later With Jools Holland.

6. Fang Island – ‘Daisy’
We’re loving this peppy song – but don’t ask us to make any sense of the music video for it. Politicians, Dirty Dancing fanatics with face paint and confetti?

7. Trouble Andrew feat. Spank Rock and Lil John – ‘I’m Wasted’
Trouble Andrew, the former pro-snowboarder-turned-rapper who is also engaged to Santigold, never really got as much attention as he deserves in the musical world. But with some help here from Spank Rock and Lil John, this song is making its rounds on the web. Hello, new night out drinking tunage.

8. Alejandro Escovedo – ‘Street Song’
Finally, some Alejandro news that doesn’t have to do with Lady Gaga. Alejandro Escovedo (a former member of The Nuns) is about to release his tenth solo album, ‘Street Songs Of Love.’ Here’s one soulful track from it, co-written with Chuck Prophet.

9. Ali Love – ‘Love In Darkness’
And here is your next summer dance anthem, from Londoner Ali Love’s forthcoming debut album ‘Love Harder.’ You might recognise his falsetto vocals from The Chemical Brothers’ 2007 hit song ‘Do It Again.’

10. Mother Mother – ‘Heart Heavy’
Canadians Mother Mother have a new album, ‘O My Heart,’ due out the end of this month. The single (of the same name) is, as vocalist/guitarist Ryan Guldemond says “the love anthem for a sociopath.” Which is pretty appropriate, considering its accompanying music video (which you can watch below). We’ve also got a free download of the single’s B-Side, ‘Heart Heavy.’

11-20. The Flavorpill Mixtape XIX: Rufus Wainwright, Tegan & Sara, LCD Soundsystem
Head on over to Flavorwire.com for a free download of the website’s 19th mixtape. They’ve got tracks from Rufus Wainwright, Delorean, Freelance Whales, Real Fur, LCD Soundsystem, The Bird & The Bee, Dignan Porch, Kitten, Keepaway, and Tegan & Sara up for grabs.
