Wichita Recordings Takeover Part One - Free MP3 downloads from The Cribs, Those Dancing Days and Sky Larkin

Believe it or not it'a a whole ten years since Mark Bowen and Dick Green split with Alan McGee and Creation Records and formed Wichita Recordings. In the meantime they've arguably spent their days a bit better than their former boss, bringing us the likes of The Cribs, Bloc Party and Simian Mobile Disco while he's spent his time signing Cosmic Rough Riders and unleashing various rants on the Guardian's site and Twitter.

Eugh. Sticking with the positive, Wichita have sent us a load of tracks to celebrate hitting double figures and to mark their anniversary shows next week. For Part One of their three part takeover, we've got an exclusive Britney Spears cover from Those Dancing Days alongside brand new Sky Larkin track 'Year Dot' and the classic Cribs track 'We Were Aborted'.

The Cribs

Enjoy, and hit us up tomorrow for the likes of Frankie & The Heartstrings, First Aid Kit and Lissy Trullie...
