1. Wild Beasts – ‘Loop The Loop’
NME loved 'Smother', and after hearing the album play on repeat about five times a day in the office, I fell in love with it, too. (Admittedly, it took a bit of time to grow on me). If you’ve yet to hear the band’s third album, then here’s your chance. Download ‘Loop The Loop’ for free, courtesy of Domino Records. It’s a good one to start with, too, as frontman Hayden Thorpe recently told NPR that this “positive music” “about human acceptance” is one of his favourite tracks on the record.

2. Foster The People – ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ (Chrome Canyon Remix)
‘Pumped Up Kicks’ is becoming a strong contender for summer tune of the year, as this LA-based trio are being dubbed the new MGMT. Give this slowed down“80s yacht rock version” (as Foster The People describe it) remix from Brooklyn’s Chrome Canyon a spin to get your Monday morning started.

3. Jamiroquai – ‘Smile’
Jay Kay and his gang just hit the web with a new tune, making ‘Smile’ available for free download on the official Jamiroquai Facebook page. Though it was recorded during the sessions for their latest album, ‘Rock Dust Light Star’, it didn’t make the final cut. Good thing we can hear it now, though. Sit back, enjoy the happy-sounding horns and spread the smile with your buddies.

4. Boots Electric – ‘Boots Electric Theme’
Here’s a new project that’s so cool it deserves its own theme tune. Jesse Hughes (Eagles Of Death Metal) has teamed up with Brody Dalle (Distillers/Spinnerette) to bring you Boots Electric. Their debut album, ‘Honkey Kong’, will be released in September via Dangerbird Records, but you can download the first track over at SPIN.com for free.

5. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah – ‘Same Mistake’
The moment’s finally here for Clap Your Hands fans, as it’s been four long years of waiting since the band released a new album. ‘Hysterical’, CYHSY’s third LP (produced by John Congleton (Modest Mouse/David Byrne/The Walkmen), will finally drop on September 12th via V2. You can download the first single, full of synth and strings and good old-fashioned indie pop, for free now.

6. The Subways – ‘It’s A Party’
We’re told these guys wrote this track with festival season in mind, and I can certainly sense some onstage party-time ferocity in it. "I can remember writing 'It's A Party' with a huge hunger to get up on stage and get everyone going absolutely nuts," member Billy Lunn shared on his band’s website. You can find this song on their record ‘Money And Celebrity’ (out this September).

7. DAMNDOGS – ‘Love’
Admit it – JET’s ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl’ was a tuuune. Unfortunately, that act’s on hiatus. But members Mark Wilson and Chris Cester have started a new, self-described “doom disco” project (along with two other guys Mitch McIvor and Louis Macklin). The foursome go by the moniker of DAMNDOGS – a name apparently inspired by a trip to Marrakesh, where Cester saw a bunch of wild dogs running around like howling rodents. Stop by nylonmag.com for the exclusive premiere of the band’s first single, ‘Love’. You can get their debut EP this July.

8. Bastille – ‘Flaws’ (Astronaut Remix)
This one comes from South London’s Dan Smith (aka Bastille). You might have come across his DIY video for the track, which featured a string of clips from the 1973 Terrence Mallick film Badlands. It inspired loads of (rather awful) covers to be recorded (which you can check out on YouTube), as well as remixes – here’s the dubstep take from Astronaut. You can get Bastille’s single ‘Flaws’/’Icarus’ on limited edition vinyl on July 4th via Young And Lost Club.

9. Get People – ‘Rain Tears’ (Crystal Fighters Remix)
Here’s an exclusive remix for you. Crystal Fighters toyed around with the lead track from London-based electro trio Get People’s EP ‘Rain Tears’. If you still haven't heard their song 'Away', don't forget you can download it for free, as well, over on the band's Soundcloud page.

10. Snakes Say Hisss – ‘Comes And Goes’’
Not only have these guys hit the nail on the head with an onomatopoeia-riffic band name, but this four-piecer from Brooklyn are also quite modest. “We’re pretty hot. There’s really no way around it,” says member Jamie Ayers. “I think it literally boils down to the fact that everybody is insanely jealous of me.” OK, maybe a bit too modest. But hey, don’t hold the vanity against them – they are pretty dang good. Download ‘Comes And Goes’ over at rcrdlbl.com.Snakes
