In our fifth record label profile, we’re getting to know Nadia Dahlawi and Sara Jade – the brains behind London-based label/club night Young and Lost Club.

In 2002, the girls met at the age of fifteen and formed a fanzine. In 2003, they launched their first club night. By the end of 2004, the Young and Lost Club kicked off with a launch party in Soho. This summer marks their project’s five-year anniversary. To celebrate, Nadia and Sara are releasing a thirty two-track compilation of their greatest hits. The ‘Young and Lost Club Compilation’ will be released on August 16th.

Loverman – ‘Miracle’
Loverman, a four-piece band from London, released ‘Miracle’ (from EP ‘Human Nature’) through the Young and Lost Digital Club in 2009. They’re influenced by Nirvana, The Melvins and the hardcore punk scene, and they love being compared to Nick Cave. They also describe their sound as “Beetlejuice claw-hammering The Cramps to death in a burning church”.
