The weeklong Austin, Texas bash officially kicks off today and, aside from all the free tacos, free booze, free secret shows by HUUUUUGE acts, free tech shit, free clothes, free hugs and – oh yes! – free yoga classes, there’s also a fair amount of pre-confirmed bands turning up to play. A few thousand of them, in fact. Here are our top ten newies you really cant afford to miss if you’re in town.
PS. Don’t forget to check out NME’s own SXSW show at Latitude 30 on Saturday March 16 – featuring The Orwells, Swim Deep, Peace, TOY, Eagulls and RDGLDGRN.
