Between now and January 4 – ‘the street date’ of Radar’s annual January takeover issue – we’re going to be counting down the artists that didn’t quite make our 20 big guns in the mag.

It’s hard to describe what happens after post-punk, when the angular stabs and jerky, snotty rhythms are imploded from their very core, imbuing the whole sorry fiasco with a new sense of positivity and light. We gave up and ran with post-post-punk, but what’s probably far more telling is having a quick listen to Fiction.
