Bleached are Jennifer and Jessica Clavin, sisters from LA's San Fernando Valley. Their debut album 'Ride Your Heart' is unequivocally Californian. You can't hear it without imagining a sea salt breeze in your hair and a Chevrolet waiting outside. Propelled by muscular bass and head-nodding drums, Bleached sing tales of teenage love without the clichés.

The Hollywood punk scene was the sibling's training ground before touring with bands such as Black Lips and The Gossip.

Me and Jen were punk kids who weren't to taught to play instruments. We taught ourselves how to play, out in the garage

There's a raw, free energy to 'Ride Your Heart' that testifies to their DIY roots. Combined with more hooks than a primary school cloakroom, it's no surprise Bleached were a buzz band at this year's SXSW. We're delighted to premiere the album exclusively on NME.com this week.
