Django Django might have missed out on the Mercury last night, but things are still going pretty swimmingly for them. Their album was widely regarded as having only just been pipped as the indie choice, and at least they didn’t lose their gong like those poor Maccabees.

Now to cheer them up even more, that nice Steve Mason has remixed their track 'Life's A Beach'. The former Beta Band drenches the song in a lovely Mogadon fug that recalls his gorgeous solo record 'Boys Outside' from 2010. You can listen below.

They won’t be sitting around on their arses either. Next week they're off to Turin in Italy to play the Club To Club MiTo Festival of Arts and Electronic Culture. They join the likes of Flying Lotus, Liars and SBTRKT at a week-long high-end rave that promises “baroque theatres, contemporary arts centres, clubs, post-industrial pavilions, historical squares, creative districts and classical auditoriums. Fancy.
