Exclusive – Stream Curtis Harding’s Genius Debut Album ‘Soul Power’

Atlanta, Georgia singer Curtis Harding seems to have been bubbling around the underground forever now. He’s involved with practically everything great Black Lips are up to (including numerous side projects) back home, and – via Hedi Slimane – he’s also become something of a staple on magazine back covers of late too. Add to that a slew of hyped SXSW shows last March, and similar here in Blighty just before Christmas, and you’ve got yourself a guy with a decent bit of buzz around him.

Next week, he finally gets around to unleashing his ace debut album ‘Soul Power’ in the UK, following it’s critically acclaimed release via the always great Burger Records in the States last year. I’ve lived with the record for about nine months now and I’m still not the least bit bored of it, which is saying something. It’s also why we’ve made Curtis our New Act Of The Week in Radar this week.

Pick up the magazine now to read Lisa Wright’s excellent interview with him (“I’m demoing for the second album already. And I wanna do a country record; a dreampop album with a girl singing,” he opines), and stream ‘Soul Power’ in its entirety below.
