New Fiction signings The Amazons head out on the road with The Strypes for the Topman 24 Tour (in association with NME) today, and they’ve just released a new track to celebrate.

‘Stay With Me’ – not a cover of the Faces classic – is a gutsy guitar-rock lament to young love, sounding a little like an Oasis b-side back when they were really worth giving a damn about. Singer Matt Thompson has this to say this about it:

“Stay With Me is a song my 18-year-old self wrote to the first love in my life. I’m not one to ‘live in the moment’. If something is going well, like this relationship was, my mind will be drawn towards how I don’t want that to happen, so ‘Stay With Me’ is kind of a message to the girl. It’s one of our more direct songs, in its arrangement but also lyrically.”
