Janka Nabay's story is pretty amazing/sad. He was once about as big as stars get in his homeland of Sierra Leone but warfare and migration have left him working in a chicken shack in Philedelphia, where Dean Bein from True Panther Sounds (Girls, Glasser, Hunx & His Punx etc) stumbled upon him over a bucket of spicey wings. He makes traditional tribal music but all on clapped-out thrift store keyboards and synths that ends up sounding strangely like some kind of agit minimal techno.

Anyways, Janka will tell the story much better than us. So will leave him to it with the premiere of this, his introductory video for his new label:
