New Music - Drop Out Venus, 'Death Is Screaming'

Drop Out Venus have been creating wired and wonderful music for a while now (like last year's magnificent 'Love In Vein'), and here they return sounding drastically different to before.

This isn't too surprising – they've always been prone to turning their heads and hands to a myriad of different styles and making it work. 'Death Is Screaming', which starts off a bit Blondie, a bit YYY, ends up somewhere else entirely - Led Zep riffs and a brilliantly off-kilter lyric from singer Iva about wresting alligators. The track is taken from 'Glitz', the first of two new EP's to be released by the band this year (it's out on May 20).
