Girls Names, the four-piece from Belfast, have just posted 'Hypnotic Regression' ahead of their second album release in February.

Keen to distance themselves from the garage-pop ditties of their first album 'Dead To Me', this new incarnation sounds different, darker and better. Here's Cathal Cully from the band:

'Dead to Me' literally was dead to us by the time it was committed to wax. But it's a learning curve. We started moving on as artists the moment we finished that recording session, maybe even before

'Hypnotic Regression' is a riot of treated guitar chords, infectious drums and a Smithsesque bass line. If there's a guitar music revival in 2013, I hope it sounds like this.

'The New Life' will be released on February 18th on Tough Love (UK) and Slumberland (US)
