'The Jig Is Up (Dump'n)' will match expectations for those who've heard the album released this month: it's textured, visceral and inventive. He laughs off Shyne's recent diss with the line "I pray to God this beat is good enough for Shyne/If not, J. Cole your shit is traaash". Braggadocio's everywhere, but it's not ill-fitting. "Real people want real music/the jig is up," he states. All rise for the new King of West Coast hip-hop.
