If there's one album that's taken over the office stereo in recent weeks, it's Light Asylum's debut. The NYC duo, who we're featuring as Radar's About To Break band in this week's magazine are walking a totally different step to the rest of the seemingly lo-fi obsessed Big Apple.

Despite having ties to the likes of TV On The Radio, !!! and Ford & Lopatin, they're more abrasive than the whole lot - siphoning the same kind of phrenetic, 110 percent energy of Death Grips and feeding it through a dancier, Grace Jones fronting 'Death Disco'-era PiL filter. It's just a totally exciting record, basically.
