New Music Of The Day: Yung – ‘A Youthful Dream’ (Album Stream)

It’s been a frenetic 12 months for Aarhus band Yung, whose debut track ‘Nobody Cares’ was one of 2015’s most arresting singles.

This Friday, the fourpiece release their debut album ‘A Youthful Dream’ via Fat Possum/Tough Love – but we’re streaming the whole thing exclusively for you right now.

Speaking of making the record, which includes previous Under The Radar favourites including ‘Uncombed Hair’ and ‘Pills’, singer Mikkel Holm Silkjær said the following:

“When we recorded this album we tried to divide the days up like normal workdays. A nine-to-five workday with lunch breaks, that is. I chose ‘A Youthful Dream’ as the title of the album because I felt like that was the best description of it. ‘A Youthful Dream’ is not so much a reference to the fact that young people can be naïve, but more a reference to the appalling naivety some dreams can have. This album is not a dream but sometimes everything around it seems like it.”
