Sunflower Bean might be New York's best new band, but their pals Honduras are hot on their heels. Over the last three years, the quartet have been honing their rough and ready garage-rock and now they're set to release their debut album 'Rituals' next Friday (September 25). Opener 'Therapy' boasts a juddering Parquet Courts-esque riff, 'Not Again' is a bright and breezy earworm that will burrow deep into your cranium, and 'Too Close' delivers a ton of brilliantly insouciant attitude. Honduras are saving the best til last though – last track 'Mirror' is the album's highest point, jangling along on a glimmering guitar line that spins and bounces like light on glass. It's the sort of thing that Toy did when they first came out, but takes itself way less seriously. Pull your leather jacket on, pop your collar and turn this record up loud.
'Rituals' is released on September 25 via Black Bell Records.
