NME Radar Mixtape Volume II

New logo! Ooh!

I've spent the majority of my 26 years on earth making unsolicited and often unwanted mixtapes for friends and loved ones. So the thought that I now get to make one every month of all the best new music out there, that might recieve more than just one cursory, disgruntled skim-listen is quite exciting...

Here is then, the latest in Radar's series of monthly mixtapes. True to form it's a mixed bag. Unsurprisingly there's loads from the ever fertile en vogue lo-fi turf, just as predictably there's nods to dubstep's latest and greatest evolutions. But did many predict a crunk/folk hybrid (JJ) or the team-up between Radar favs Salem and Gucci Mane? Or even the arrival of East New York's Cerebral Ballzy. Perhaps less so...

Anyways, after a good few listens I can testify to this being a killer compilation. It's chock-full of exclusives and hits-in-the-making. So download and enjoy.

Abide,

Jaimie x
