I'll keep this post short and succinct so's not to mess with your head tooooooo much.

Is One Room better at being an elusive fucker than The Weeknd? Is he/them/she/it just a mere sideproject for The Knocks? Are we witnessing the greatest musical mystery since Arthur Beatrice went overground in the heady days of, uh, September 2011?

Nobody's at liberty to say just yet. But here's some facts: The excellent, sultry 'I Want You' was posted online a few days ago, along with a Tumblr and Twitter accredited to One Room. That's it. Oh, apart from a load of messages from The Knocks and Heavy Roc bigging it up left right and centre. The internet proceeds to go mental. Since then the former's B-Roc has gone on record – Twitter – to deny it's got anything to do with him. Nobody really believes that, obviously.

But as I said, nothing's confirmed yet. So all you've really got to go on right now is the song, which is great:

That, and this biog which – shock bloody horror! - Heavy Roc have blogged:

One Room was born in the Lower East Side. Everyone knows him but no one ever sees him. People say he grew up listening to static on his radio and eating mix tapes. When he was 10 he taught himself to play piano. They say he speaks every language and never sleeps. They say the music was inspired by cold winters and hot summers. They say it took him 20 years to make this music. They say it doesn’t sound like anything else. They say it was made in One Room.
