"I'm breaking down," sighs Alex De Lucas on the last track of The Parrots' debut EP, 'Weed For The Parrots'. The track takes a slightly sozzled, acoustic angle after the Madrid trio have burst through ramshackle garage-punk rife with paranoia and despair - an emotional breather after an unrelenting assault. Written when the band were overindulging in alcohol and weed, this is a record that captures the jubilant highs and all-encompassing, nightmarish lows of non-stop partying in the most enlivening and bracing way.

'Weed For The Parrots' is released on June 22 via Luv Luv Luv. Catch them at the following London shows later this month:

London Lock Tavern (June 22)
London Shacklewell Arms (24)
London Waiting Room (25)
