Brisbane fivepiece The John Steel Singers return on July 28 with new album 'Everything's A Thread', out on Full Time Hobby. Easily their most accomplished-sounding collection of songs yet, 'Happy Before' is a good indication of where they're at: James Jamerson basslines, Coral-esque keys and the kind of production that MJ from Hookworms would surely be proud of (not that he had anything to do with it - the band made the record in singer Luke's parents' house, overlooking Mount Coolum on the Gold Coast).

They're also doing the new music festival circuit in Europe this May, with slots at Liverpool Sound City, The Great Escape, Amsterdam's London Calling and finally a couple of their own dates in London (Hoxton Bar & Grill on May 11 and Sebright Arms the following night).
