Track Premiere - Menace Beach's Scintillating Scuzz-Rock Heist 'Lowtalkin'

In and out in two thrilling minutes, this latest track from Leeds racketmakers Menace Beach feels like a finely executed bank heist - detonating into life like TNT through a safe wall then careening away in a rush of shredding guitars and screeched backing vocals that wail like distant police sirens. Bolstered by members of Pulled Apart By Horses and Sky Larkin, as well as prolific Hookworms leading man MJ on guitar, there's good reason why central duo Ryan Needham and Liza Violet's incoming debut album is among this year's most anticipated British DIY scene releases: like a violently unhinged Dinosaur Jr, few other bands right now pack the same scuzzy adrenaline fix. Stream the brilliant 'Lowtalkin' - released as a double A-side single with the recently unveiled 'Tennis Court' via the ever-reliable Memphis Industries on September 1 - below and look out for live dates, beginning with a set at Tramlines festival in Sheffield on Friday (July 25).

Oh and by the way, those siren-like backing vocals? They're courtesy of Joanna Gruesome's Lan McArdle.
