24-year-old Sivu has been causing a bit of a stir lately with his heartswelling acoustic dexterity and glittering atmospherics, as devastatingly evidenced on his debut EP ‘Bodies’ earlier this summer. Working and writing from a call centre in Waterloo, he manages to tap into a pool of rich emotion, producing irresistible outpourings that stop you in your tracks without ever becoming overwrought or corny. Those powerful first impressions are continued here on this new track ‘Over and Over’, a buffed up, tearjerking gem who’s beauty lies in its understated approach, trickling along like Bombay Bicycle Club’s more tender moments.
