Watch Get Inuit Emulate The Beach Boys In Their Video For ‘Teriyaki’ (Premiere)

Jamie Glass, the frontman of Get Inuit, is having a bad day. When NME speaks to him, he’s running on no sleep and has had a bad trip to the hairdressers. “It’s ruined everything,” he says of his new ‘do. “I kind of look like I have a 70 year old lady’s hair cut.” Even his girlfriend agrees. Luckily, there’s some good news: The video for their latest single ‘Teriyaki’ drops today.

Beaming in from Leysdown, Kent, the four piece can be seen driving around in a campervan, throwing some questionable shapes and eating ice creams. Reinventing today’s boy band look, they’ve taken inspiration from the Beach Boys. “We were going for the idea that we were dropped from a plane and having to perform, but we don’t really know what we’re doing; which hopefully comes across and it doesn’t just look like we don’t know what we’re doing” Jamie explains. “I mean, I’m pretty awkward as it is, but I had to go over the top. I really had to out-do myself.”

Get Inuit are touring the UK next month supporting Spring King.
