Some critics think the porn parody of ‘Justice League’ is better than the original

It's a league of extraordinary gentlemen.

Yes, some viewers have come to the conclusion that the porn parody of Justice League is better than the real thing. No – not better than sex, but better than the Gal Gadot-starring superhero movie, which was something of a damp squib, a flop, a wet patch on the bed of cinema.

Critics and audiences lacked red-hot passion for the ensemble action film, with some criticism reserved for Ben Affleck’s portrayal of Batman. The Guardian wrote that the actor “seems to have a faint sheen of sweat, as if the Batcave thermostat is up too high.” Well, he’ll certainly look that way if he watches Justice League: A Gay XXX Parody, in which Batman is played by a bearded chap named Trenton Bucati. You may remember him from such films as Big Cocks Rock! 2, The Boy Who Cried DILF and the classic Sucked Off In Weird Places.

Picking up where Batman V Superman: A Gay XXX Parody left off, the Justice League knock-off sees the caped crusader drafted in to help the assembled superheroes protect humankind. The movie also features Green Lantern, who’s become tabloid fodder as the world’s first openly gay superhero. As you can see in the (safe-for-work) trailer below, the CGI is actually not bad, while Ru Paul’s Drag Race star Manila Luzon plays the role of Wonder Woman, here reimagined as a sassy drag queen.

The performances might be a little wooden – pun intended! – but the film has been a relative critical success. The gay social network Hornet ran a piece headlined, “The ‘Justice League’ Gay Porn Parody Is Shaping Up to be Better Than the Actual Film,” while the pop culture website Gizmodo concluded that, unlike its inspiration, “Justice League: A Gay Porn Parody’s cast has legitimate chemistry.” This, despite controversy around the fact that Aquaman has been cast without his trademark luscious locks and the (perhaps too po-faced) character Cyborg is entirely absent from the movie.

Like Frasier, here is a spin-off that might well have surpassed its originator. For absolute clarity: that’s the only thing Frasier and Justice League: A Gay XXX Parody have in common. Not all superheroes wear capes, but some of them, it seems, are well-endowed and, in general, prefer to be naked.
