A dog in a jet dropping bombs of liquid shit onto a brawling community. It’s not what Don Draper or any other ad executive would have come up with to market a young band’s major label debut, but it didn’t do Green Day any harm. 'Dookie'’s album art quickly became almost as iconic as the record it was wrapped around, and posters of the cover were soon adorning student common rooms all over the world.
