It was a vintage year at Reading and Leeds festival this year, with Biffy Clyro taking the step up to headline in their stride as well as Green Day and Eminem returning like conquering heroes. Away from the mainstage, it was on the NME/R1 stage that some of the best action took place, with bands like Peace, Palma Violets and Haim drawing huge crowds.
