You may be wondering where and why this happened, so let’s start with that: it was on a beach where the Baywatch reboot was filming towards a release date of May 2017. The star of High School Musical, 17 Again and Bad Neighbours, struggling with the friable sand, unlike his fellow cast member Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, and tumbled in a heap on the floor. Have a look at the glorious fall for yourself:
In GIF form, it looks a little something like this:
In Zac’s own words, as he later posted on Instagram, all he wanted was to look cool. “*think cool thoughts*” he wrote. “Run cool – hit ‘em with that COOL Baywatch run… *cool thoughts* Yeah, that’s it – Run coooool *cool thoughts* Oh yeah, feelin’ it *think coo- AGH WTF- #notcool”
As you’ll notice, Zac has failed to close his asterisk quotes here, so you can take everything he says from now on as direct speech from his internal monologue.
In the great release-date domino carnage of January 2016 Baywatch replaced the next Terminator film in Paramount’s release schedule, with a new date of May 19, 2017. That puts its release one week ahead of the next Pirates Of The Caribbean movie. The film stars Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and High School Musical’s Zac Efron as lifeguards trying to save their beach from environmental damage from an oil tycoon – and it’ll be R-Rated.
