NME Exclusive: Check Out UK Posters For Ewan McGregor Crime Thriller 'Son Of A Gun'

Aussie crime thriller Son of a Gun is a total blast. It stars Brenton Thwaites (Prince Phillip in Maleficent) as JR, a 19-year-old jailbird who gets himself into trouble in prison and turns to a serious badass played by Ewan McGregor for protection. McGregor's Brendan Lynch keeps JR safe while he's doing time, but there's a hefty price to pay when the youngster gets out, and it could ruin the 19-year-old's blossoming romance with Tasha (rising star Alicia Vikander, soon to be seen in Alex Garland's directorial debut Ex Machina).

Why 'Portlandia' Is The Best TV Comedy Series You've Probably Never Seen

Portlandia is probably the most indie TV series ever. One of its stars and co-creators is Carrie Brownstein from Sleater-Kinney; the other is Saturday Night Live alumnus Fred Armisen, who used to be drummer in a post-hardcore band called Trenchmouth. Carrie and Fred have crazy connections: Washed Out provides the show's theme tune, while Jack White, Josh Homme, St Vincent, Aimee Mann, Dirty Projectors, No Doubt, kd Lang, Guns N' Roses' Duff McKagan and Joanna Newsom have all made guest appearances over the first four seasons.

A 'Breaking Bad' Fan Has Turned Walt And Jesse Into Rappers - And They're Actually Not Bad

One Breaking Bad fan who's feeling bored while waiting for Better Call Saul has turned Bryan Cranston's Walt, Aaron Paul's Jesse and several other leading players from the show into rappers... yes, really. Obviously this clever clip video is just for lolz, but give it a watch below and try to tell us it's not, well, kind of catchy...
