20 albums you have to hear in April

  • Last month it was clear that spring has arrived by a) the sun appearing in the sky and b) the fact loads of great albums were released. Top of our list is Lostprophets, 'Weapons'. The follow up to 2010's 'The Betrayed' was recorded in LA. It can be streamed in full here.

  • Alabama Shakes, 'Boys & Girls'. Hotly tipped favourites who have fans in Russell Crowe and Jack White. The album was recorded at The Bomb Shelter in Nashville and produced by the band themselves, will be released through Rough Trade in the UK. It's released on April 9th.
