  • Guns N' Roses' two-and-a-half-hour set comprised of a good mix of classic hits, new material and cover songs, as well as pyrotechnics and several outfit changes from frontman Axl Rose, including a purple coat and black feather boa.

  • In a nod to the tradition of bottling the band, Axl told the crowd: "Now, now, now, let's not be throwing things, because you might miss me and you might hit one of these nice people down at the front. And we wouldn't want that to happen."

  • The band stuck to their tried-and-tested set, launching straight into 'Chinese Democracy' followed by 'Welcome To The Jungle' and 'It's So Easy'.

  • They weren't the only covers. Axl took to the piano at one point to play truncated versions of Elton John's 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' and 'Someone Saved My Life Tonight'. The band also performed an instrumental version of Pink Floyd's 'Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2)'.

  • Guns N' Roses have been a contentious topic this year. The fans reacted badly to their shenanigans at Reading festival and they were bottled in Ireland. Let us know if you think Axl is a hero or a loser over on the blogs.

  • Axl's been silent on his Twitter account since the Reading debacle, but you can keep an eye on the always entertaining frontman by following him here. He surprised fans last night by showing up and playing a full show at London's O2 Arena.
