  • Radiohead's Thom Yorke, Metronomy and Tinariwen have been added to the line-up of this year's Big Chill festival. Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions, Natty and Bristol HiFi have also been added to the bill for the event, which takes place in Herefordshire on August 5-8.

  • Muse, Vampire Weekend, The Dead Weather and Florence And The Machine have been confirmed to feature on the soundtrack album for the forthcoming film The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Muse have contributed a new song 'Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)', which will be the lead single from the album.

  • Katy Perry's new album 'Teenage Dream' will be released this August. The singer releases her new single 'California Gurls' ahead of the album, on 20 June, with the album following on August 30. The single features Snoop Dogg, and Perry said it is a response to Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' 'Empire State Of Mind'

  • The Rolling Stones' Keith Richards has said that his autobiography will be released in October. The guitarist revealed the planned month of release for the book, which he announced he was writing in 2007, to the Independent. "I'm waiting for some proofs to come back," he explained. "It's kind of weird writing about your own life. Who'd be interested in that?"

  • Kelis has revealed that she almost quit music to become a chef, after struggling to complete her last album. The singer, who will release her new album, 'Flesh Tone' on May 17, went to culinary school to train as a cordon-bleu chef.

  • Jay-Z has announced details of an upcoming 'best of' album. 'The Hits Collection Vol.1' will be released on June 29. While a tracklisting for the compilation hasn't been specified, the audio player on the album's website, JayZHitsCollection.com, features the songs 'Public Service Announcement', 'D.O.A.', 'Run This Town', 'Empire State Of Mind' and 'Where I'm From'.

  • Bob Dylan is set to sell an assortment of signed art prints across the UK. The collection of prints are taken from the singer-songwriter's The Drawn Blank Series, created between 1989 and 1992 whilst Dylan was on the road.

The rapper will be scouring NME Breakthrough supported by Blackberry - the new music community for emerge bands and fans – to look for the best band or artist.

  • Foals, The National and Keane all look set to bag high UK Album Chart entries on Sunday (May 16) according to today's (12) official midweek chart update. Keane's new effort 'Night Train' is in the provisional Number One slot, while The National's 'High Violet' is the midweek Number Three. Foals' second album 'Total Life Forever' is at Four.

  • Mos Def and Lenny Kravitz are among the acts who will take part in a benefit gig to support those affected by the recent oil spill in the Gulf Of Mexico. Taking place at the Mardi Gras World River City in New Orleans on Sunday (May 16), the event will also feature Ani DiFranco, Zachary Richard and Allen Toussaint.

  • Mark Ronson has released the first music from his forthcoming new album 'Record Collection' online via a new video. The video for the song, 'Circuit Breaker' is based on the Legend Of Zelda. computer games, featuring a DJ battle between characters and guitar-toting skeleton sprites. It was directed by filmmakers Jordan Galland and Gary Breslin and was premiered on Stereogum.com.
