Aaron Paul on ‘Better Call Saul’ guest appearance: ‘Hopefully one day’

'Breaking Bad' actor discusses reprising his role as Jesse Pinkman in the spin-off series

Aaron Paul has confirmed he is keen to make a guest appearance in Breaking Bad‘s spin-off series Better Call Saul.

Besides Bryan Cranston, Paul was the only actor to appear in every episode of Breaking Bad, portraying Jesse Pinkman in 62 episodes between 2008 and 2013 and winning three Emmy Awards in the process. Now Paul has revealed that he has discussed reviving the character for a potential Better Call Saul cameo with Breaking Bad‘s creator Vince Gilligan and his co-showrunner on the spin-off series, Peter Gould.

“We always have fun having that discussion, Vince, myself, Peter, the writers, we just have no idea how that would happen. But hopefully one day,” Paul told Variety.

Better Call Saul‘s first season began last month (February) on AMC in the US and Netflix in the UK and will consist of 10 episodes. AMC has already commissioned a second season comprising 13 episodes. The spin-off series is being steered by Gould, one of Breaking Bad‘s executive producers, and Gilligan, who created the award-winning drugs drama starring Cranston and Paul.

Gould and Gilligan confirmed earlier this year (January) that Cranston’s Walter and Paul’s Jesse will not appear in Season One of Better Call Saul, but hinted that they could feature in future seasons.
