Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore could reunite for new rom-com
The pair previous starred together in 'The Wedding Singer' and '50 First Dates'
Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore are set to team up again for a new romantic comedy film.
The pair previously starred together in 1998's The Wedding Singer and 2004's 50 First Dates, both of which became hits at the box office. Barrymore also made an uncredited cameo appearance in Sandler's poorly-received 2011 film Jack And Jill.
Sandler is already attached to star in the new movie, which centres on a dating couple who get trapped at a family holiday resort where their kids from previous relationships are staying.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Barrymore is now frontrunner to play the female lead in the rom-com, which is currently untitled. Casting is said to be "proceeding apace" because Sander is eyeing the film as his next project.
The film has been in the works since 2007 and was previously called Blended - a reference to the "blended families" of its premise. At one point, Sandra Bullock was being lined up to play the female lead, but this was before Sandler came on board.
