'After Earth' wins three Razzie awards, including 'Worst Screen Combo'

After Earth was the big winner - or loser depending how you look at it - at the Razzie awards last night (March 1).

The 34th annual Razzies took place in LA last night, the night before the Oscars, and serve to highlight the very worst performers, directors and films of the previous year. Movie 43 picked up gongs for 'Worst Picture' and 'Worst Screenplay', while the 13 directors who helmed the sketch comedy movie collectively won the 'Worst Director' award.

But it was Jayden Smith who won the 'Worst Actor' award, while his dad, , picked up the 'Worst Supporting Actor' gong. Together they were awarded 'Worst Screen Combo' for their appearance in the sci-fi movie After Earth.

Kanye West's partner, Kim Kardashian, won 'Worst Supporting Actress' for her role in Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counsellor, while 'Best Actress' was awarded to Tyler Perry for his role in A Madea Christmas. He saw off competition from Lindsay Lohan, Naomi Watts, Selena Gomez and Halle Berry, who famously turned up to the Razzie ceremony in 2005 to accept her Worst Actress award for Catwoman.

Berry is among a small group of actors and directors who have attended the ceremony to pick up their prizes. In 2002, Tom Green, who won a number of awards, had to be dragged from the stage for refusing to stop playing the harmonica, while in 2010, Sandra Bullock won Worst Actress for All About Steve, while the following night won Best Actress at the Oscars for her role in The Blind Side.
